* Tsunami SwepT aSia *

I was watching news at five n i was curious still after the presenter said that Langkawi was one of the victim island of the Tsunami..

Oh my GOD... Langkawi?? I was there weeks ago.. * shocked * n plus one death was reported in Langkawi...WAT????? * mouth wide-open *

Wat is actually Tsunami... it sounded nice but it's not friendly at all~!!

And after searching the websites n reading long explainations about Tsunami.. This is wat i've found out just for all of you...

  1. Born of strong seismic shocks, tsunamis can reach huge heights and speeds, but despite their strength, they can be barely noticeable out at sea.
  2. If you are on a boat, you might not even feel a tsunami.
  3. It becomes powerful only when it is near the shore and reaches shallow water, which then can push waves over 10 times higher than the sea water level.

There's no need for us to go far... let's just see wat had happened to our very close neighbour country, Malaysia...

Malaysia was not spared. At least 45 people were killed with hundreds injured and missing in the aftermath of a tsunami triggered by the most powerful earthquake since 1964

There was no clue at all on the beaches of Penang or Langkawi or the seas off Kuala Muda n the other Islands n countries..

Then, just as tragedies always happen — unannounced — the giant tsunami which wreaked destruction from the shores of Indonesia, to Malaysia, Thailand, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and India, struck.

Warlow... Indonesia.. why like that one.. * opsss * no offence ya... i wonder how's Dipta in Jakarta n Cikgu Mita too in Bandung... Hope they are doing fine... * sigh * Back to serious stuff now.. * focus focus *

Tidal waves as high as a three- storey building swept through the coastal villages of Kedah and Langkawi, flattening and damaging everything in their path....

The giant waves, first hit Langkawi...

Wave was 10 meters tall, as fast as a "moving vehicle"...

More than 7,200 people have died and the death toll is climbing...

32 people had died in Penang, 10 in Kedah, two in Perak and one in Selangor... wat? Penang? Sedara is there la.. Perak?? PuYaU is there too... Selangor... My relatives lives there... * Worried *

Boats and cars were tossed about like toys....

No one was SPARED~!!!!!!

Ok fine.. i really suck in this... let's just give way to the pictures to maybe explain more about the Tsunami by itself...

Pictures.. pleaseee....
